Parent/Guardian Guide to Navigating Google Classroom
The link to the video below will show parents and guardians everything they need to know in order to best support their students with using Google Classroom. Google Classroom is a digital classroom platform where teachers most assignments, materials, announcements, and more. In this video, you'll learn how to optimize the settings of Google Classroom to best suit the needs of your family, how students can join classes, how students can look up what assignments they still need to complete, as well as what assignments have already been graded. You'll also learn how to use the calendar function to support with time management, how students can ask public and private questions, as well as how to receive email notification about missing and upcoming work directly to your inbox.
Click Sign Up at the top of the page and choose Parent.
Enter your Parent Access Code. This is a 12-digit code in xxxx-xxxx-xxxx format that you receive from one of your child's instructors.
Fill out the form with your information.
Click Register to complete.
When you use a Parent Access Code to create an account, you are automatically associated to your child. You can add additional children to your account using the Add Child button.
Add Additional Students to Your Account
Note: The Add Child option is visible to parent accounts that are already associated with at least one child. If your parent account is not associated with any children, this option will not be present.
If you already have a parent account in Schoology for one child, you can add additional children to your account:
Log in to your Schoology account using your username or email address and password.
Click the arrow next to your name in the top-right corner.
Click the Add Child button.
Enter the Child Code for the child you're adding. This is the same as your Parent Access Code, the 12-digit code in xxxx-xxxx-xxxx format that you receive from one of your child's instructors.
If your code does not look like this code, contact your child's instructor or school.
Click the Use Code button to complete.

Are you a parent or guardian and don't have a Skyward Family Access account. You can request one by visiting your student's website, hovering over the Parents & Students tab, clicking on the Skyward Family Access Accout Request link, and submitting a response.
